Rebels to kick-off San Diego Comic-Con Star Wars presence

Star Wars Always have updated with a guide to the official Star Wars presence at the San Diego Comic-Con later this month. Here are the highlights:

  • a Rebels panel featuring Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, Freddie Prinze, Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar and Taylor Gray
  • an original trilogy storyboards panel featuring Joe Johnston and J.W. Rinzler
  • a Hasbro Star Wars panel featuring a look at upcoming Rebels action figures
  • a panel on the new canon featuring John Jackson Miller, Pablo Hidalgo, Dave Filoni, Jennifer Heddle, Shelley Shapiro, Vanessa Marshall and Frank Parisi

No Episode VII panels will feature—instead the emphasis will be on Rebels and the new direction for the wider canon, which of course will be the focus for the next 12 months. will be live blogging for the event.

A New Dawn jacket and full blurb

On the 2nd of September, Star Wars: A New Dawn will officially signal the start of a new chapter in Star Wars storytelling, where novels, comics, games, TV series and films all contribute to the overall canon of the universe. Although we’ve had a taste already with Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir and Blade Squadron, A New Dawn represents the moment where tie-in media can truly exist side-by-side with anything on film. This is where the Kathleen Kennedy-led era of Lucasfilm begins to bear fruit.
